YOGA FOR ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION
Anxiety can be unsettling, to say the least, and depression can be debilitating. How can we learn to radically accept these emotions? What exactly does this mean? Our first notion is usually “how do I get rid of my uncomfortable feelings?” In order to move past an emotion, we have to first accept that emotion. Through breath work, movement, meditation and sharing, we can bring more awareness to our true nature, and allow these emotions to move through us so they don’t own us. Instead of allowing our suffering to defeat us, we can use it to become better versions of ourselves, we can become more self-aware.
A waiver form is required prior to practice.
If you need someone to help you move in the classroom, please feel free to bring your care giver. This is a group class with one instructor to 20 students.
Donation Yoga for Anxiety and Depression Classes are offered weekly. Although any donation is appreciated, we suggest a donation of $10 per client. We are truly grateful for your support to help the studio continue to offer these classes through The Dharma Footprint Project.
